Night shift employees are prone to ongoing fatigue and sleepiness, increased health concerns, increased absenteeism, increased turnover, increased accidents, increased work errors, and decreased productivity.  Research has shown that a night shift employee will cost an organization about $8,500 more annually than an equivalent day shift employee.

Sleep problems and stress are connected to 90% of doctor visits each year.  Although sleep is a natural function, its importance is not clearly understood by many of us and as a result we skimp on sleep.  We may also suffer from medical problems that ruin our sleep.
